Wine Road of the Province of Messina

North of the Tyrrhenian Sea and East of the Ionian Sea, the province of Messina embraces different landscapes, between the sea and the mountains of the Nebrodi Park and the Peloritani Mountains. There are three itineraries available within the Strada del Vino of the Province of Messina: the Mamertino itinerary, the Faro itinerary and the Malvasia di Lipari itinerary.

The first is to discover the Mamertino Doc, white or red with very ancient Roman origins, cultivated mainly along the Tyrrhenian side of the province of Messina. The second itinerary instead goes along the hills that overlook the strait, from which the Faro Doc is produced.

Finally the itinerary of the Aeolian Islands, from Alicudi to Stromboli, from Vulcano to Lipari, passing through Stromboli Filicudi and Salina to the discovery of Malvasia and its production, unchanged over the centuries and true secret of this exceptional wine.
