Nebrodi Park

Established in 1993, it includes the most important and extensive forest formations in Sicily (about 50,000 ha). The most significant tree species are represented by Fagus sylvatica (at the extreme southern limit of the diffusion range), from Quercus cerris, from Quercus suber.

There are also singular formations of Quercus ilex, Taxus baccata, Ilex aquifolium and important lacustrine and rock environments. Rich are both vertebrate and invertebrate fauna.
